At a Different Time, in a Different place, Under Different Circumstances... Could two people fall in love once AGAIN?
TEN YEARS AGO KATHRYN JENNINGS MADE A VOW. For better or worse. And that promise still holds true, even though her marriage has not turned out as she expected. When her husband fails to return home one stormy winter night, she struggles to keep their ranch, but her efforts are blocked at every turn. After a shocking glimpse inter her husband's past, Kathryn uncovers a hidden truth. What she wouldn't give to turn back time and be able to love her husband for the man that he was, not for the man she had always wanted him to be.
Larson Jennings has spent his entire life running from a broken past, unable to trust, reluctant to try again. One fateful night, his life takes an unexpected twist, and soon he is forced to make a choice. Whatever he chooses, his decision may cost him his life.
A PENNY FOR MY THOUGHTS:
This is one of my favorites in my Personal Library...I got it for Christmas, and its autographed, along w/the sequel...Revealed. It takes place in the 1870's, and Tamera does a great job writing in this era. Kathryn Loves her husband, but because of past events, he isn't trust worthy. So Kathryn is always having to explain herself to Larson, But when Larson goes missing, she finds out that their farm is going under, not to mention she finds out she's pregnant, all without Larson. But when they find a body with Larson's Jacket on him, She thinks her husband is dead.
One Day a man covered in Burns from a fire shows up in town, named Jacob. Jacob finds himself drawn to the pregnant widow...but could she ever love a man that looked like him? Would she ever see past his scares?
When Kathryn Finds herself falling for Jacob, she feels like she is betraying Larson...Will God help her over come this?? Or will she go through the rest of her life as a Single Mother?
Tamera Alexander did a wonderful job writing this story, it keeps your attention and those pages turning!
